At Les Crocs de la Mer, freshness is a matter of trust. Fish arrive whole on a bed of ice with enough lemon around them to discourage unnecessary questions. The restaurant promises regular deliveries. In a city where morning no longer exists, no one has managed to verify what “catch of the day” really means.

The house claims its fishing is responsible, local when possible, and mysteriously farther away when the price of the platter requires it. Every species has an origin, a size, and a charming little story on the menu. The rarer the fish, the more it costs. At that point, protecting it probably would have been cheaper than eating it.

The fish shop sells fish and seafood. The restaurant has tables, chairs and a bar for customers eating on site. At Les Crocs de la Mer, they have enormous respect for marine life, especially once it is perfectly cooked.
