In ZOZO CITY, the Endless Night has reshaped far more than the sky. It has shaped its official history, institutions, beliefs, economy and the daily lives of millions of Zozos.
Here, even chaos follows rules.
01 · Official history
HISTORYTHEY ARETAUGHT
From childhood, every Zozo learns the same story, passed down by the High Authority : daylight went out, the old lands collapsed and ZOZO CITY became the last known illuminated refuge. A story repeated for 128 years, long enough to become a truth.
The Extinction of Day
128 years ago, the sun stopped lighting the territories. Its disk remains visible and its heat can still be felt, but the sky stays black. This event marks the beginning of the Endless Night.
The collapse of the old lands
Deprived of light and electricity, the old lands lost their crops, infrastructure and institutions. Many did not survive the first years of the Endless Night.
The last illuminated city
Through the Circle, especially Electric Quantic for energy and Nutrix for food, ZOZO CITY has kept its districts, transport and essential services running. It is said to be the last known organized territory with electric lighting.
Beyond the waters
In the dark territories, hunger and despair are said to have turned the survivors into predators, ready to hunt and devour one another to stay alive. In ZOZO CITY, every child learns this story early enough never to want to check it out.
Waters under surveillance
Order Zero makes sure the danger stays on the other side of the water. Its patrols prevent intrusions and above all ensure that no Zozo leaves the island. Nobody gets in, nobody gets out. For everyone’s safety, of course.
02 · The inhabitants
3.2 MILLIONZOZOS
In ZOZO CITY, 3.2 million Zozos share the same Night, but rarely the same life. Some are born close to power, others at the foot of factories or in contested territories. They govern, trade, protect, smuggle, love and fight with the same obsession: not losing their place. Here, anyone can become somebody. As long as somebody else lets them.

BUSINESSES
In ZOZO CITY, businesses do more than feed, heal or recharge a battery. They have their slogans, codes and their own absurdity. Step inside: these shops are where the city best reveals its humor and personality.
03 · The factions
POWER IS SHARED
In ZOZO CITY, Ghetto Zoo and Forêt des Villes fight over the neighborhoods. Their war feeds a much larger system: the High Authority imposes the law, Le Cercle controls the resources, while the major powers keep their rivalry alive so they can continue dividing up the city.
04 · ZOZO CITY
A CITYSEVEN ZONES
ZOZO CITY covers 535 km² divided into seven administrative zones. Six are led by a Governor. The seventh, seat of the High Authority, answers directly to the President. No physical border separates them, but each has its own economy, codes and way of surviving the Endless Night. People can move freely from one zone to another. Bank accounts, however, know the borders very well.

05 · The economy
ZENSCALL THE SHOTS
In ZOZO CITY, Zen pays for salaries, rent, election campaigns, bribes, deals and protection rackets. Bills and coins move from pocket to pocket without always asking permission. The currency holds its value; those who earn it, steal it or lend it are far less certain to keep theirs.
06 · Legal and underground markets
THE CITY NEEDSITS FIX
In ZOZO CITY, pushing past your limits is perfectly legal when the product carries the right stamp. NITRO, POWER and TONIC promise faster, harder and longer work. ZEDD circulates without authorization; JUSTICE CORP tries to stop it while the market is already finding new customers.
07 · SOMEWHERE IN ZOZO CITY…
THE NIGHT IS STILLHIDING SOMETHING
While the factions fight over power, events echo across every corner of the city. Far too precisely to be mere coincidences. Someone is watching. No one knows what they are waiting for.
