BANKNOTE: 1 000 ZENS

01 · LÉONARD ZAROO
1812 - 1884
The Founding Father of his own legend
Léonard Zaroo was the Founding Father, builder, and chief witness to his own greatness. He supposedly imagined and organized everything, perhaps even holding the ladder; every other name remains missing.
Too humble for a personality cult, he accepted only statues, portraits, ceremonies, and the country’s largest note. Historical recognition as spontaneous as it was mandatory.
His doctrine promised unity, sovereignty, and prosperity: everyone marched in the same direction, which he chose. The 1,000 Zens note simply reminds everyone, with every major transaction, whom to thank.

WHAT THE BANKNOTE DOESN’T TELL YOU
The highest denomination in the first series currently shown, the 1,000-Zen banknote places Léonard Zaroo at the center of ZOZO CITY’s official story.
